We have an important legislation update to make you aware of. Recently, South Carolina and West Virginia passed new legislation that has significant implications for your company if you have employees in SC and/or WV. We must keep you informed and ensure you are aware of the changes to navigate any potential impacts successfully.
Due to the SC Statewide Education and Workforce Act, a SOC code is required for every employee in South Carolina. Similarly, the WV Senate Bill 548 is also requiring a SOC code for every employee in West Virginia. A SOC code is a statistical standard used to classify workers into the specific category that best matches their job. This information must be supplied on the 1st quarter 2024 wage reports, due by April 30, 2024.

Next, you will need to start updating employee's SOC job codes as soon as possible.
Updating employees SOC codes within isolved:
- Employee Management > Employee Maintenance > Jobs
- After selecting an employee, click the pencil icon to edit under 'Actions' to select a job code.
