It typically takes about two weeks after the close of a quarter for the new quarterly files to be posted. New quarterly reports will be available under Reporting > Return Archive. For clients who've been with Dominion Payroll since prior to 1st Quarter 2025, returns from 1Q25 and earlier are available in the Reporting > Quarterly Reports On-Demand menu. To locate and download your quarterly tax filings, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to Reporting > Return Archive in Dominion Payroll.
-
Select the appropriate Year and Period/Quarter for the filing you need.
-
Click Filter to display the available reports.
-
Locate the desired report (e.g., Form 941 or state-specific SUTA filing).
-
Click View Report to open the document or download it for your records.
Additionally, Dominion Payroll maintains records starting from the first year it began processing your payroll. If your company used a different payroll provider before switching to Dominion Payroll, records from those years will not be available in the Dominion Payroll archives. To obtain these records, you will need to contact the payroll provider that processed your payroll for the relevant year.
The Quarterly Reports typically include the 941 filing as well as any state unemployment tax filings required for your company. The 4th quarter reports will also include the 940 return.
SUTA Reports
-
SUTA (State Unemployment Tax Act) reports are state-specific filings that detail employer contributions and employee wages for unemployment insurance purposes.
-
These reports are not included in the federal Form 941 but are part of the quarterly tax filing package.
Form 941
-
Form 941 is a federal tax return used to report income taxes, Social Security tax, and Medicare tax withheld from employees' paychecks, as well as the employer's share of Social Security and Medicare taxes.
NOTE: If you are looking for W-2s and/or your W-3, you'll find them in Reporting > Year-End Reports On-Demand.
Troubleshooting Missing Reports
If you do not see an item labeled "Quarterly Package," look for state-specific SUTA filings. For example:
-
In Mississippi, the SUTA report is the Form UI-2/3 (Employer’s Quarterly Contribution and Wage Report).
-
This document combines wage and contribution details and is available in the same Reporting > Return Archive section.
